Leopard (Tamer) Boot

"Don't get your boots in a knot," I said.

I bit my tongue hard, but it was too late. As usual, she only heard the part she wanted to heat. It was odd how inflexible she could be, considering.

She cleaned the blood from my tongue. This was a woman of many talents. I hoped I'd be strong enough to tame her.

Every shoe tells a story — This shoe, along with the Siamese Shoe and No Heels Shoe, was created for "Side Show". Of course I thought of a Lion Tamer at first, but saw right away that leopard spots would be a lot more fun to paint. The pattern of the spots had to be so free-form, which is SO not what I usually do. The red accents were added to keep it from being so monochromatic, and that's where the idea of the blood came from.
